What You Might Want to Know... Soul Junkies is going on its 7th year as a top tier Houston act covering Classic and New Rock from 5 decades. Founder Chip Castro, lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist and bassist Joel Sanders are the only remaining charter members. Drummer al and lead guitarist Steve Gamez have given the band a more intense style, still evolving. With 100 years experience and more coming from the combined members of the band, they deliver a high energy show reminiscent of the hard rock shows of the 70’ and early eighties, the bands that influenced them...heavy on guitar prowess and classic beats. Every band members resume has seen openings for Classic Rock acts including, The Georgia Satellites, Night Ranger, Frank Marino & Mahogany Rush, BTO, Robin Trower and more. This group is still energized and looking forward to delivering their great show to your venue or event.
